Calcium chloride production

Bihydrate calcium chloride is a porous substance of white colour, well
soluble in water, spirit and air. It is widely used in chemical, rubber, oil extracting
industries, in refregerators, in food industry to produce curds and cheese.
Process is based on interaction of lime with hydrochloric
acid and further purificarion of obtained solutions. The production was put into operation
in 1949. In the following years it has been improved, old equipment has been
modernized.
Production capacity is approximately 8250 t/y.
They are planning to increase output by constructing a new unit of
calcium chloride production, the capacity of which will be 12000 t/y. |
